About Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Brent Kerrigan — an executive speechwriter and communications strategist with more than two decades of experience writing for world leaders, CEOs, and international organizations.
I’m not an academic or a consultant looking in from the sidelines. I’m a working speechwriter — still crafting messages for major global events, world leaders, and executive teams every day.
Alongside that work, I lead the Professional Speechwriters Association’s School of AI and Speechwriting, helping communicators around the world explore how new tools can strengthen their craft.
My additional experience includes:
senior speechwriter for two UN orgs and as a ministerial writer with the Government of Canada;
a pioneer of online speechwriting training through Global Speechwriter;
a trainer and mentor to speechwriters and communications professionals across sectors.
an advocate for ethical, human-first communication in the AI era.
